Jet Impingement
Cortest Jet Impingement systems are used to test the effectiveness of corrosion inhibitors as well
as to study flow effects on the corrosion of materials. The main components of this system are
a large autoclave for solution preparation, a smaller impingement test cell with impingement
probe, a positive displacement pump, and a Coriolis flow meter to measure flow rates. Other
components such as a liquid delivery system and a mag-drive stirrer can be added as well. The
entire system is controlled from a touch screen interface that can be mounted on the stand itself or
nearby. The system can be configured to allow the larger autoclave to be used independent of the jet
impingement portion of the test system.
